It is United States policy to oppose foreign countries and organizations assistance of the Taliban, especially from countries that receive foreign aid from the US. This bill would require the Secretary of State to review and report foreign countries and organizations that have provided assistance to the Taliban. The report would include the amount of aid each has received from the United States, amount of assistance given to the Taliban, and how the Taliban used that assistance.
This bill would also require the Secretary of State to implement a plan to discourage assistance of the Taliban. Included would be a strategy to aid Afghan women who are being oppressed under the Taliban.
